About Flyby
Flyby is a drone planning app for iPhone that brings weather, daylight, airspace context, and aircraft limits into one calmer preflight. It helps pilots compare launch locations, find a flying window, and keep a record of their flights.
A clearer preflight. More room to enjoy the flight.
Flyby started while preparing for a drone launch. Getting ready meant jumping between apps and checking whether the drone needed to be registered. The preparation felt scattered, with each question leading somewhere else.
The idea was to create something with the focused feel of Tide Guide, but for drones: one thoughtfully designed place to get ready for a flight. That became Flyby, bringing weather, daylight, airspace context, and aircraft limits together in a clearer preflight.
That same approach runs through the rest of the app: a local logbook to remember a flight, plans that stay connected to the forecast, and a playful city to fly through between checks. Thoughtful planning, with a little of the joy of flying built in.
What makes Flyby useful
A forecast built around your drone
Fly Score and hourly charts bring wind, gusts, rain, visibility, and cloud conditions together with your aircraft profile and preferred limits.
The right place, at the right time
Compare saved launch spots, plan future flights, and see sunrise, sunset, twilight, blue hour, and golden hour beside the forecast.
Airspace context alongside the weather
Supported FAA UAS Facility Map cells, ceiling details, airspace class, and LAANC availability guidance help pilots understand a launch location.
A record of every outing
A local logbook keeps flight notes, conditions, route maps, and stats together, with GPX import for existing tracks.
A little fun between forecasts
Free Flight, Gate Run, and Touchdown bring playful flying experiences into the app. Home Screen widgets keep conditions and Flyby's retro city close at hand.
Private by default
No required account, no ads, and no cross-app tracking. Saved locations, plans, aircraft profiles, and logbook entries stay on the device.
